International tour operators discover the Lands of Custoza.
The commitment of the Consorzio Tutela Vino Custoza DOC in promoting wine tourism, a fast-growing sector that combines appreciation for quality wine with the exploration of cultural heritage and landscapes, does not stop. From 6 to 8 October, in the days leading up to TTG Travel Experience, Italy’s benchmark event for the promotion of world tourism, the Consortium will be at the forefront in promoting the region by welcoming nine representatives of nine tour operators from the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Sweden, as part of a pioneering initiative to promote wine tourism in the region. The aim is to capture the interest of international tour operators and, through them, of an ever-growing public of wine, food, outdoor sports and Italian culture enthusiasts, precisely when they select the best proposals for the coming year.
The strategic location of Custoza, between two world-famous tourist destinations such as Lake Garda and the city of Verona, offers a unique potential to attract visitors in search of authentic, unrepeatable and high-quality experiences. The tourism professionals taking part in the tour have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the ‘Terre del Custoza’ at three hundred and sixty degrees, discovering not only the excellent local wines, but also the tourist attractions that make this area a hidden jewel of the region, such as the Castles of Valeggio and Villafranca, the Sigurtà Park, Borghetto and the many nature trails that highlight the extraordinary scenic beauty of the region.
“This incoming marks a crucial moment for our region” says Roberta Bricolo, President of the Consorzio Tutela Vino Custoza DOC. “We are excited to show our international guests not only the quality of our wines, but also the cultural and natural wealth that Custoza has to offer. Our goal is to position our area as a leading destination for wine tourism and cultural tourism.“
